To calculate the usage-based pricing for Salto, Salto needs to count the number of configuration elements in your Okta instance.
The easiest and most accurate way is to sign up for Salto and let Salto do the calculation. This is the recommended option. Learn how
If you want to calculate the number of records before signing up to Salto, ask someone from your Okta team to log in to your Okta Admin Console and follow these instructions:
Count Discrepancies
It's important to note that Salto excludes some elements by default, so the number of records calculated by Salto may be lower than your count.
Applications
Navigate to 'Applications' by going through the left pane: Applications> Applications.
Count the number of Applications under the Active and Inactive tabs
Groups and Group Rules
Navigate to 'Groups' by going through the left pane: Directory > Groups.
Under the All tab, count the number of groups.
Under the Rules tab, count the number of rules.
Policies
If you want to manually count the number of Policies in your Okta instance, please reach out to Salto for personalized guidance.
Users
Salto doesn’t manage users by default, but support for this feature can be enabled.
Navigate to ‘People’ by going through the left pane: Directory > People.
In the top menu, make sure the status is set to ‘All’; the total number of users will be displayed on the right.
