How to count elements in Zendesk

This article provides a detailed walkthrough for determining the number of records associated with specific types in Zendesk

To calculate the usage-based pricing for Salto, Salto needs to count the number of configuration elements in your Zendesk instance.

The easiest and most accurate way is to sign up for Salto and let Salto do the calculation. This is the recommended option. Learn how

If you want to calculate the number of records before signing up to Salto, ask someone from your Zendesk team to log in to your Zendesk Admin Center and follow these instructions:

Count Discrepancies

Exclude inactive elements that are not Ticket Forms from your count for an accurate estimate, as Salto doesn't manage them by default.

Automation

  1. Navigate to 'Automations' by going through the left pane: Objects and rules > Business rules > Automations.

  2. Count the number of automations only in the active tab:

Brand

  1. Navigate to 'Brands' by going through the left pane: Account > Brand management

    > Brands.

  2. Count the number of brands:

Macro

  1. Navigate to 'Macros' by going through the left pane: Workspaces > Agent tools > Macros.

  2. Count the number of macros only in the active tab:

Ticket Form

  1. Navigate to 'Ticket forms' by going through the left pane: Objects and rules > Tickets > Forms.

  2. Count the number of ticket forms both in the active and inactive tabs:

Trigger

  1. Navigate to 'Triggers' by going through the left pane: Objects and rules > Business rules > Triggers.

  2. Count the number of triggers with the status 'Active':
