Salto tracks all environment changes, whether they are made through a Salto deployment or directly within the application. Changes made outside of Salto are captured through fetch operations, which retrieve the application account’s metadata either on a predefined schedule or manually.
All changes—regardless of how they were made—are accessible in the environment’s Change Log tab, where you can:
View a complete list of fetch and deployment operations
View operation summary - inspect detailed changes for each operation, including the modified elements, before-and-after values, the user who made the changes, and more
Add meaningful titles and descriptions for changes made outside of Salto, such as ticket IDs for audit and tracking purposes
Compare the current application configuration with a specific point in time from the change log, and selectively restore elements to that state
